Bayshore Vinyl looks to expand its business under new parent company, Primex

TENNENT, NJ (March 14, 2006) - Bayshore Vinyl (formerly The Bayshore Group), a vinyl compound manufacturer located in central New Jersey, was recently acquired by Primex, a unit of Mexichem. Based in Mexico City, Mexichem is one of the world's largest chemical manufacturers.

Primex is a major producer of polyvinylchloride (PVC) resin and plasticizers -base materials used in the production of vinyl compounds. Bayshore Vinyl is a large producer of vinyl compounds - a durable and valuable material composed of PVC resin.

Bayshore Vinyl has 50 employees at its Tennent, NJ headquarters and manufacturing facility. The company anticipates no personnel changes due to the acquisition.

"With an immense portfolio of products and a dedication to excellence in quality, Mexichem is one of the foremost petrochemical and chemical companies in the world," says Barry Axelrod, founder and owner of Bayshore Vinyl. "This acquisition will allow us to offer an expanded selection of products to our customers, while continuing to grow our business."

Mexichem is a publicly traded company with two business units, Vinyl Chloride Chain and Fluoride Chain. The company manufactures products used in cleansers, detergents, piping, paper, pigments and plastic film. Mexichem is Mexico's leading producer and retailer of chloride, caustic soda, and PVC.

The new alignment with Mexichem and Primex gives Bayshore Vinyl access to a nearly unending supply of raw materials. These invaluable resources, in short supply in the U.S. market, are needed to manufacture all plastics and vinyl compounds. Bayshore Vinyl will be able to sell these materials - along with wire and cable compounds produced in Mexico - directly to its clients. Bayshore Vinyl is also planning to expand in existing U.S. markets, including Florida and California.
